Brittany Mahomes: Why I Was Not Allowed To Marry Patrick Mahomes

Brittany Mahomes, wife of football player Patrick Mahomes, is sparking controversy for an unexpected reason. 

After Brittany recently shared a photo of herself revealing a new foot tattoo, people began speculating that the couple might be polyamorous. One Twitter account started the rumor. The tattoo features a black heart with an infinity symbol crossing it, which carries the meaning of eternal love and lasting loyalty, and that’s actually quite sweet when you think about it. 

An NFL parody account on Twitter, however, is trying to give it another meaning, and it’s causing mixed reactions. The account shared photos of the couple along with an image that is similar to Brittany Mahomes’ tattoo, but with one key difference. People quickly came to Brittany’s defense. In the photo, the heart is red with a blue infinity symbol. That is the sign of polyamory. 

Brittany’s tattoo is in all black, which is why a lot of fans are calling the claim bogus. “There’s a plethora of different meanings for this tattoo. The colors are what signify polyamorous and hers is all black. The symbol itself, without the red heart or blue infinity sign color, simply means eternal love or lasting loyalty. Irresponsible post,” read one reply to the tweet. Critics think people are simply not doing their research. 

“Looks like maybe you know … it could just mean infinite love for him. I’m just thinking tho …” another tweet reads. “It literally means infinity of love … y’all read too much into things,” one person wrote. Another Twitter user posted the meaning of the image, adding, “Imagine not doing your research …” From what Brittany has said, it seems the tattoo is just a coincidence.

Brittany Mahomes has been pretty open about how she feels about other women trying to get close to her athlete husband in the past. During an Instagram Q&A back in April, someone asked her how she deals with the fact that other women find her husband desirable. 

 “It’s actually really sad how disrespectful some women are … But they are a [waste] of my time & not going to disturb my peace,” she wrote. 

She says she couldn’t care less about other women who are into her husband. She shared that now she’s “to a point where I could care less” about their attempts, though she admitted that it did once bother her.
